Our story
An independent accounting firm run by people like you
Munnelly Accountants was founded by Emma Munnelly in Carlow, in 2010. The idea was always to provide accountancy services for business and individuals with a focus on simplicity and openness. The firm was built from the ground up and almost anything our clients might go through, we’ve been through ourselves. Now, we employ that same appetite for a challenge to solving problems for our clients. Whether it’s tax, compliance or advice on how to start or grow a business, we’re here to help.
Emma Munnelly
Founder and owner
I have a degree in computing and accounting and qualified as an accountant with CIMA in 2002. I started my first accounting firm in 2010, as part of a national franchise, before launching my own brand in 2015. More than anything, I enjoy working with clients – learning about their businesses and identifying ways I can make a difference. I also love a challenge and if you come to me with a problem I can promise you it will become my mission to solve it. I treat people as I expect to be treated and if I tell you I’ll do something, you can guarantee I will.
Caroline O’Boyle
Accountant and tax adviser
I completed a degree in accounting at IT Carlow in 2006 and went on to qualify as an AITI Chartered Tax Adviser in 2009. I gained experience in tax consultancy practice before joining Emma’s accountancy practice in 2010. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of working with all sorts of individuals and businesses. I’ve done a bit of everything for them, from day-to-day accountancy support to complex tax advice. Seeing the practice grow over the last few years and hearing the positive feedback from clients has been hugely rewarding.
